DBP-2800 Defibtech AED Battery Specs
The Defibtech DBP-2800 battery ensures reliable AED use. It lasts up to seven years. Its design features a 9-volt lithium battery. This battery runs routine self-tests. It helps save the main battery’s power for emergencies and long-term use.
The Defibtech DBP-2800 battery is made for tough places like hospitals and clinics. It works well where AEDs are used often. For lower-use settings, the DBP-1400 standard battery works with the same devices. It has a five-year standby life, ensuring reliable emergency readiness.
Installing the High-Capacity DBP-2800 Battery
Installation is a breeze. First, make sure to observe the expiration date stamped on the battery. When you’re ready to install:
- Remove the pad cartridge on the back of your Lifeline AED to reveal the battery compartment.
- Push the notch to remove the existing spring-loaded battery.
- Insert the new battery. When it snaps into place, you’ll hear a beep. Then the Lifeline AED will run a self-test to confirm a successful connection.
- When the self-test is complete, note the confirmation message on the main display.
The Defibtech DBP-2800 is the high-capacity upgrade to the standard DBP-1400. Delivers up to 300 shocks when new (vs 125 for the DBP-1400) and a 7-year uninstalled shelf life — the longest battery shelf life on the U.S. AED market. Installed life is 5 years. Recommended for high-traffic public-access AEDs, stockpiled spare inventory, and EMS units that may see multiple uses between maintenance windows. Authentic Defibtech inventory from authorized U.S. distributors only.
