- Common Questions
Frequently asked questions.
Will CR Plus combo kit work on a CR2?
No — the CR Plus battery + pads combo kit is for legacy CR Plus / EXPRESS units only. The LIFEPAK CR2 is a different device generation entirely with different battery, different connector, and different pad workflow (universal QUIK-STEP). For CR2 owners, order QUIK-STEP pads + a separate CR2 battery. The CR Plus kit is maintained for installed-base support, but new buyers should jump directly to the CR2 platform rather than buying refills for an aging CR Plus device.
When will CR Plus consumables stop being made?
Stryker hasn’t announced a firm end-of-support date, but the CR Plus is in legacy mode and supply windows will narrow over the next 3–5 years as the device fully retires from production. If your facility still operates CR Plus units, plan a CR2 migration within 24 months. Bridge-refill with the combo kit during the transition period, but don’t make long-term plans assuming CR Plus consumables will be available 5+ years out. Lock in your CR2 upgrade plan now.
1-Set or 2-Set — which do I need?
Choose the 1-Set kit at $220 for single-AED owners who want one complete refill. Choose the 2-Set kit at $380 for sites that want a spare on the cabinet shelf, which is good practice for legacy device support. The 2-Set offers ~14% savings vs buying two 1-Set kits separately. For aging CR Plus fleets, the 2-Set hedge is wise because future supply gaps could leave you without consumables during a critical rescue window.
