The refurbished Philips OnSite, examined against our own checklist.
- Transactional review · Recertified unit
The refurbished Philips OnSite, examined against our own checklist.
This is the unit our refurbished ranking crowned, so it gets the harshest treatment we can give: our 12-check standard applied to the live listing, what the seller documents in public, what you must still demand in writing, and the dated math against buying new. Availability note: the listing showed out of stock when checked July 23, 2026; the category link below always carries current recertified inventory.

Worth it for budget-stretched single sites: the authorized listing documented a 3-year warranty with new pads and battery pre-installed (checked 7/23), at street prices typically ~half of the $1,529 new list. Same rescue, same consumables as new. Two things still get demanded in writing before money moves: the step-by-step process and the unit serial, per the checklist.

What passes in public, and what you demand in writing
We ran our own buyer’s checklist against the authorized listing, July 23, 2026. Honest scorecard:
| Check | Public status at check date | Your move |
|---|---|---|
| Written warranty | Documented: 3 years, stated on the listing | Confirm coverage terms at order |
| New pads + battery with dates | Documented: pre-installed; dates not shown publicly | Request the expiry dates for your unit |
| Package + support | Documented: case, responder kit, I-Tag inspection card, phone support line | None; verified |
| Authorized seller, medical-device trail | Passes: authorized US distributor with AED history | None; verified |
| Model FDA-approved, no open recall | Verifiable: OnSite family in the PMA database; check the recall database at order | 2-minute self-check |
| Step-by-step recertification process | NOT published: the listing says "rigorous testing" without the steps | [GATE: written process from the seller lands here] Until then: email the six questions from the checklist and buy on the written answers |
| Unit serial before purchase | Not shown publicly (normal) | Request with the process answers |
[GATE: seller’s documented process steps, verbatim, replace this note when provided.] This is how we treat the unit we ourselves recommend: the discount is real, and so are the two asks you make before paying anyone, including sellers we link.
- Recertified vs new, this model
The dated math on this exact unit
| Line | Recertified OnSite | New OnSite |
|---|---|---|
| Device · checked 7/23 | ~$700-900 street (est.) · 3-yr documented warranty | $1,529 list · up to 8-yr manufacturer warranty |
| Pads over 5 yrs (est.) | IDENTICAL: ~$150 · 2x M5071A cartridge | |
| Battery over 5 yrs (est.) | IDENTICAL: ~$89 · 1x M5070A | |
| 5-yr total with cabinet (est.) | ~$1,140-1,340 | ~$1,970 |
The gap buys a cabinet, signage, and CPR training with money left over. The crossover warning still applies: if a recert quote approaches $1,295, the new 350P with full manufacturer warranty wins instead, logic in Refurbished vs New. Run your own build in the Cost Calculator.

Warranty length or grant paperwork rules: the new 350P. Children on site regularly: pediatric coverage math favors the FRx, also sold recertified. Full comparisons: the refurbished ranking and the new-unit OnSite review.
