Direct answer
At $1,581.80 checked on 18 September 2026, the Philips HeartStart OnSite AED Value Package is the OnSite M5066A with pads and battery installed, a spare adult pads set, carry case, wall cabinet, first responder kit, three-way sign, wall poster, inspection card and window decal. It costs $7.20 less than the bare device and about $125 less than buying the device and cabinet separately, and it needs no prescription.
What is included in the Philips HeartStart OnSite Value Package?
The Philips HeartStart OnSite Value Package ($1,581.80 at AED Leader, checked 4 October 2026) includes the OnSite AED with pads and battery installed, a wall cabinet, a carry case, signage, the instruction booklets and a first responder kit (AED Leader package listing). The bare device includes only the AED, pads, battery and a case.
Package vs device alone: the package is $1,581.80 and the bare OnSite is $1,589, so it costs $7.20 less and still adds the cabinet, signage and responder kit. Buy the device alone only for a carry-only home unit. For a small business: one office, shop or front desk should buy the package; it is the only Philips AED sold without a prescription, and on a tight budget the recertified OnSite is $875.

Philips OnSite package vs device alone, and against the packages that rank
We read the top ranking pages for “Philips HeartStart OnSite value package”, “OnSite business package” and “OnSite with cabinet” on 18 September 2026. They are all store pages. Same defibrillator in every box; the cabinet, case and extras change the price.[1][2][5][6][7][8][9]
| Package | Price seen | What is in it | Call |

Philips OnSite AED package for a small business, school or church: which cabinet, and what to add
The ranking sellers split this one SKU into “business”, “school” and “church” packages. The device is identical. What actually changes is the cabinet and whether a pediatric cartridge is in the box.
| Site | Cabinet | Add | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Office, shop, small business | Compact non-alarmed, included | Nothing for 1 to 4 units | Staffed hours, adults, the door is watched; see AEDs for offices |
| School or daycare | Alarmed ($135.15) or alarm and strobe ($160.65) | Infant/Child cartridge M5072A | A student opening the door should alert staff; patients under 55 lb need the pediatric cartridge; see AEDs for schools and school packages |
| Church, community hall | Compact non-alarmed, included | Wall poster at the entrance | Volunteers rotate; the poster and three-way sign do the training the roster cannot; see AEDs for churches |
| Gym, sports facility | Alarmed | Consider the ZOLL AED Plus package instead | Exertion arrests reward compression-depth feedback, which the OnSite does not measure |
Budget-first buyers should look at the HeartSine 350P package at $1,463.80: $118 less, one Pad-Pak cartridge instead of separate pads and battery, but a prescription is required for it, unlike the OnSite.[2]
The running cost nobody prints next to the package price
The package buys day-one readiness. Over the next five years the OnSite needs two adult pads cartridges and one battery, and the spare pads set in the box covers the first replacement.[1][3]
Five-year consumables after the spare set: one M5071A cartridge at $99 and one M5070A battery at $249, AED Leader prices 18 September 2026.[1]
Five-year total for one wall-ready OnSite: package plus consumables, before any cart discount. Run your own site in the calculator.
The $1,589 “value package” that is really a device price
One trap sits next to the AED Leader package in the results.
Trap: a package priced at the bare-device number
AED Market lists its OnSite value package from $1,589, which is the bare-device list price everywhere else. Its published contents are device, cabinet, adult pads, wall sign and case; the responder kit, poster, inspection card and window decal that AED Leader includes are not listed. Compare contents line by line, not the headline.[7]
The same check applies to Philips direct: bundles from $1,914 include a carry case and no cabinet, so a wall-mounted OnSite from Philips costs more than any distributor package.[9]
Check the recall status before you order
The OnSite has had two FDA Class 2 recall entries: a 2019 recall of 96 units for a circuit-board supplier issue, terminated by FDA in April 2024, and a 2021 notification recall covering earlier actions. Both were handled by free exchange. A new unit shipped in 2026 is outside both; keep the serial number and check it once in the FDA recall database.[10]
Verdict: buy the package, not the device
Buy the Philips HeartStart OnSite AED Value Package at $1,581.80 if you are putting one OnSite on a wall in an office, church, clinic or home: it is cheaper than the bare device, it carries the cabinet and signage an inspector asks for, and it needs no prescription.[1]
Skip it in two cases. A school or anywhere children are likely: add the M5072A cartridge, or buy the AED Superstore school package if you want it in one box for $208.19 more. A gym or athletic program: the ZOLL AED Plus value package at $2,144.70 coaches compression depth and is the better buy.

Questions buyers ask about the OnSite package
How much does a Philips HeartStart defibrillator cost?
The OnSite (M5066A) is $1,589 as a bare device or $1,581.80 as this value package at AED Leader and Response Ready, checked 18 September 2026; the FRx (861304) is $2,099 and the recertified OnSite $875. The package is $7.20 under the bare device because AED Leader prices the cabinet, kit and signage into it.[1][2]
What is the Philips HeartStart OnSite AED?
The HeartStart OnSite (model M5066A, FDA PMA P160029) is Philips’ public-access defibrillator: 3.3 lb with pads and battery installed, voice coaching paced to the rescuer, SMART Biphasic 150 J adult therapy, and the only AED in the United States sold without a prescription. Full specs and seller prices are on our OnSite product page.[3][4]
Is Philips HeartStart discontinued?
No. The OnSite is listed as a current product on Philips’ US site and on every distributor page we read on 18 September 2026. Philips sells the same defibrillator as the HeartStart Home (M5068A) through its own shop, which is why both names appear on listings.[3]
What is the best defibrillator for a small business?
For an office or shop with untrained staff, the Philips OnSite value package: no prescription, voice coaching built for a stranger, and a wall cabinet and signage in the box at $1,581.80. Gyms and workplaces with trained responders should compare the ZOLL AED Plus value package ($2,144.70), which measures compression depth. Our office AED guide covers placement and OSHA.[1]
Is the package cheaper than buying the parts separately?
Yes, by a wide margin. The bare OnSite is $1,589 and AED Leader’s compact wall cabinet alone is $118.15 to $160.65, so device plus cabinet already costs $1,707.15 or more before the sign, poster, decal, inspection card and responder kit. The package is $1,581.80 (checked 18 September 2026).[1]
Does the package include pediatric pads?
No. Like every OnSite package we read, it ships with adult SMART Pads installed and a spare adult set. Schools, churches with children and pediatric practices add the Infant/Child SMART Pads cartridge (M5072A, $139 at aed.com on 18 September 2026), which lowers the shock to 50 J and switches the CPR coaching.[5][6]
