- 🎯 The Editorial Verdict
The Defibtech Lifeline VIEW AED Battery DCF-2003 works with Lifeline VIEW and Lifeline ECG defibrillators. It provides reliable power for emergencies. This replacement battery supports reliable AED performance and long-term readiness.
A Long-Lasting Defibtech Battery
The Defibtech Lifeline VIEW AED battery lasts up to four years in standby. It can deliver 125 shocks or run for 8 hours continuously. For better emergency preparedness, keep a backup battery with your installed unit.
Please note: This DCF-2003 battery is intended only for the Defibtech Lifeline VIEW automated external defibrillator. It is not compatible with the original Defibtech Lifeline. For that, you’ll need the standard Lifeline AED battery or the high-capacity Defibtech Lifeline battery.
A Lightweight, Low-Maintenance Defibtech Battery
The lightweight Defibtech DCF-2003 battery installs easily. After you replace it, the AED automatically runs a self-test to ensure it’s ready. A blinking green light means everything is working well. A red or off light means it’s time to replace the battery.
The Defibtech DCF-2003 is the authorized battery for the Lifeline VIEW and Lifeline ECG AEDs. 4-year installed life. Note: NOT compatible with the standard Lifeline AED (which uses the DBP-1400) — verify your model before ordering. Authentic Defibtech inventory from authorized U.S. distributors only.

- Common Questions
Frequently asked questions.
Will DBP-2800 work in my VIEW?
No — DBP-2800 is for the original Defibtech Lifeline AED and Lifeline ECG only. The VIEW requires DCF-2003 because its video screen draws meaningfully more power than audio-only Defibtech models. Forcing DBP-2800 into a VIEW will cause shock-delivery failures or unexpected battery depletion mid-rescue. Always order DCF-2003 specifically for VIEW units. This is the most common Defibtech battery mistake despite the similar Defibtech / Lifeline branding.
Why does the VIEW need a different battery?
The VIEW’s full-color video screen consumes substantially more power than the audio-only voice prompts on the standard Lifeline. The DCF-2003 battery is sized and tuned for the higher-drain workflow. Standard DBP-1400 or DBP-2800 batteries can’t sustain the screen’s power draw alongside rescue-time defibrillation reliably. Defibtech engineered the VIEW’s battery as a dedicated higher-capacity pack to maintain rescue reliability. The tradeoff is procurement complexity for mixed Defibtech fleets — VIEW units need DCF-2003 stocked separately.
