Overview

SMART Pads II are the replacement electrode pads for the Philips HeartStart FRx AED. They are designed to work seamlessly with the FRx device and its optional Infant/Child Key for pediatric use.

Compatible AED Models

These pads are designed exclusively for the Philips HeartStart FRx AED. Not compatible with the OnSite, FR3, or other Philips models.

When to Replace

Replace after each patient use or when the printed expiration date has passed. The FRx device will indicate when pad replacement is needed.

Shelf Life and Storage

Store in original sealed packaging. Check the expiration date periodically and order replacements in advance.

Philips Smart Pads II are the authorized adult electrode pads for the HeartStart FRx (model 861304). 2-year shelf life — the standard replacement cycle for Philips consumer AEDs. Note: while compatible with the OnSite (HS1), Philips typically packages OnSite pads in their own cartridge (M5071A) — see the OnSite-specific page if that’s your AED. The FRx Child Key works with Smart Pads II to enable pediatric mode without a separate pad swap.
