- Works for both adult and child patients on the CR2
- Pre-connected for immediate use
- Compatible exclusively with the LIFEPAK CR2
LIFEPAK CR2 QUIK-STEP pads are universal adult + child electrodes for the current-generation LIFEPAK CR2. No separate pediatric pads — toggle Child Mode via the dedicated button on the AED itself. cprINSIGHT continuous compression analysis is built into the pad-AED interaction. Exclusive to the CR2 — not interchangeable with legacy CR Plus or Express. Authentic Stryker/Physio-Control inventory only.
QUIK-STEP pads are the universal replacement pads for the LIFEPAK CR2 — one SKU covers both adult and pediatric patients via a Child Mode button on the device. Eliminates the need to stock two separate pad SKUs and the wrong-pad failure mode. NOT compatible with the LIFEPAK 1000 (which uses QUIK-PAK).

- Common Questions
Frequently asked questions.
Are QUIK-STEP pads cheaper because they replace two SKUs?
QUIK-STEP pads at $130 per pair are actually slightly more expensive per pack than separate adult+pediatric SKU systems. The value comes from procurement simplicity (one SKU to track) and reduced wrong-pad rescue-time errors (no risk of grabbing the wrong color cartridge). Over a 5-year deployment, total spend is roughly comparable to dual-SKU systems. The real win is operational: facilities managers love single-SKU pad procurement, especially for multi-site districts running 20+ CR2 units across many campuses.
How do I switch the CR2 into Child Mode?
Press the Child Mode button on the front of the CR2 before or during pad application. The button is clearly labeled with a child icon. Once pressed, the device announces “Child Mode” and the screen shows a pediatric indicator. The QUIK-STEP pads remain attached the whole time — no swap, no separate cartridge. The device automatically adjusts shock energy and CPR coaching for a pediatric patient. To return to adult mode, press the button again. This workflow is identical to the ZOLL AED 3 + Uni-padz approach.
Do QUIK-STEP pads work on the LIFEPAK 1000?
No — QUIK-STEP is CR2 only. The LIFEPAK 1000 (pro / EMS) uses adult-only QUIK-PAK pads plus separate Infant/Child pads for pediatric coverage. Different device, different workflow. For LIFEPAK 1000 owners, the universal-pad approach simply isn’t available — you must stock both adult and pediatric SKUs. This is one of the main differentiators between the LIFEPAK 1000 (pro device, separate-SKU pediatric) and CR2 (consumer device, universal-pad pediatric).
