ZOLL Uni-padz are universal pads designed for the ZOLL AED 3. Real CPR Help feedback is embedded in every set. 5-year shelf life. Exclusive to the AED 3 — not interchangeable with AED Plus CPR-D-Padz.
Uni-padz are the only AED pads in the U.S. market that work on both adult and pediatric patients without swapping a pad SKU. The ZOLL AED 3 has a Child-Mode button on the device itself — press it, and the energy curve adjusts for a pediatric patient using the same Uni-padz. Compatible with the AED 3 only — do not attempt to install on AED Plus, AED Pro, or any other device.

- Common Questions
Frequently asked questions.
Can I really use Uni-padz on both adult and pediatric patients?
Yes — Uni-padz are the only AED pad in the U.S. market that genuinely covers both ages without swapping the pad SKU. The AED 3 device has a Child Mode button on the front; press it before applying pads and the energy curve adjusts for a pediatric patient using the same Uni-padz attached to the chest. This eliminates the wrong-pad failure mode that affects every dual-SKU pediatric workflow. They cost ~$185 per pair with an industry-best 5-year shelf life — AED 3 only, never the AED Plus or AED Pro.
Do Uni-padz fit my AED Plus?
No — Uni-padz are designed exclusively for the ZOLL AED 3. They will not physically connect to the AED Plus or AED Pro, and even if forced, the device firmware would reject them. The AED Plus uses CPR-D-Padz (5-year, with Real CPR Help sensor). The AED Pro uses CPR-D-Padz or pro Stat-Padz HVP. Always confirm device model before ordering — this is the most common ZOLL wrong-purchase mistake. Mixing pad SKUs across ZOLL device families is not possible.
How do I switch the AED 3 into pediatric mode?
Press the Child Mode button on the front of the device before or during pad application. The button is clearly labeled with a child icon and is positioned below the screen. Once pressed, the device announces “Child Mode” and the screen shows a pediatric indicator. The Uni-padz remain attached the entire time — no swap, no separate SKU. To return to adult mode after a rescue, press the button again. This workflow is documented in the AED 3’s voice prompts during use.
