Frequently asked questions.

No — VIEW Adult Pads are exclusively for the Defibtech Lifeline VIEW. The original Defibtech Lifeline AED uses different pad SKUs with different connectors. Forcing VIEW pads onto a standard Lifeline will not connect properly. This is the most common Defibtech wrong-purchase mistake. Confirm device model (model name is usually printed on the front of the unit) before ordering. Mixed Defibtech fleets running both Lifeline AED and VIEW units need both pad SKUs stocked separately and labeled clearly.

The VIEW’s video screen requires different pad electronics for synchronizing with the on-screen rescue coaching. Standard Lifeline AED pads are simpler passive electrodes designed for audio-only voice prompts. Defibtech chose dedicated SKUs to optimize each device’s rescue workflow rather than forcing one universal pad to compromise either function. The downside is procurement complexity for mixed fleets, but the upside is each device performs at its intended capability level.
