What does "military grade" actually mean?
Nothing official: no FDA or DoD definition exists for AEDs. Translate the phrase into the four checkable specs in the table above: IP rating, drop-test height, temperature ranges, and override mode, then compare numbers via the IP guide.
Are AEDs required on installations?
Service and installation PAD policies govern base placement; there is no single public mandate to quote, and your safety office holds the controlling document. Off-base civilian rules live in the 50-state tracker.
Who should get manual-override units?
Rhythm-trained responders only: medics, corpsmen, clinic staff. For them the AED Pro removes the algorithm’s wait; for everyone else, semi-automatic operation is the safer default, which is why building anchors stay conventional.
